Gems of Wisdom – Under Fashion & Jewellery Vertical

FICCI FLO JKL, in collaboration with Nazrana Fine Jewels by Ridhima & Parakh, hosted an enlightening session titled ‘Gems of Wisdom’ under its Fashion & Jewellery Vertical. The event was designed to educate attendees on becoming informed jewellery buyers and modernizing heirloom pieces.

Session Highlights:

1. Gold as an Investment: Insight into why gold is a stable investment and how to evaluate its worth over time.
2. Understanding the Rapaport Rate for Diamond Buying: A detailed explanation of the Rapaport Price List, a key tool for pricing diamonds.
3. Natural Vs Lab-grown Diamonds: A comparison of natural diamonds and lab-grown alternatives, discussing their characteristics, benefits, and value.
4. Making of Polki & Kundan Jewellery: An overview of the traditional methods used to create Polki and Kundan jewellery, highlighting their cultural significance and craftsmanship.
5. Maintenance of Jewellery: Practical advice on how to care for various types of jewellery to ensure longevity and preserve their value.
6. Transforming Heirloom Jewellery: Creative ideas and methods to update and repurpose heirloom pieces, making them suitable for modern tastes while retaining their sentimental value.
The session was conducted by Parakh Jain, the Vertical Head along with Ridhima Jain at their Jewellery Studio.

The ‘Gems of Wisdom’ session aimed to empower members with the knowledge to make informed and wise choices in jewellery buying, ensuring that their purchases are both beautiful and financially prudent.
