Under our Health & Wellness initiative, FLO Uttarakhand Chapter in association with Trikon Society, facilitated their first Free Health Check-up Camp for the consolidated village communities of Doiwala region of Dehradun.
The camp site was Rajkiye Intermediate College, in village Bulawala, thoughtfully chosen by the Day Chair- Jt Secretary, Dr Neha Sharma for the institution’s dedication to nutritional and menstrual health, wellness of students and most importantly the clean environment of the college and its vicinity. Presence of RO water and sanitary napkin dispensing machine are a combination hard to find in city schools in this area.
The focus areas were Pediatrics, General Physician, Gynaecology, ENT, Dental Hygiene, Ayurveda & Surgery Consultations. Free vitamins & deworming tablets to children of 0-5yrs & vitamin tablets to pregnant women were distributed. Blood Pressure, blood sugar, ECG & dental checkup were availed by all. Ayurvedic & Panchakarma section was a key attraction
This outreach impacted more than 350 residents in Doiwala and chiefly comprised of women & children of all ages. Most women brought in their daughters for general checkup to ensure their wellbeing. The dentist team made a keen observation about good dental health amongst the registrations at the camp.
