Teachers are valued for their wholehearted and relentless support towards the upbringing of their students. FLO Indore Chapter organised a special event- ‘A Salute to the Masters’ on the occasion of Teachers’ Day at Labh Mandapam Auditorium. The event was witnessed by more than 800 educators from various schools across Indore & FLO members.
Renowned Hindustani classical vocalist, Ms. Kalapini Komkali was the guest of honour. Seven Outstanding Educationists were felicitated with ‘FLO Women Achievers’ Awards for their valuable contribution in shaping the future of the society. Adding entertainment to the evening was a special musical performance by Dhwani, the only multi-genre and multi-lingual band of its kind from India. Such melodious was the musical program that brought the educators to their feet.
Induben Davey– Has been the great source of inspiration to the thought & foundation of Shishukunj Institutions in Indore, who even at the age of 84 portrayed the same spirit of giving back to the society.
Ms Asha Trivedi– A prominent social worker and educationist from MP working for education, health & upliftment of rural & under-privileged population who associated with Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao since 1980 and executed the program in rural areas.
Ms Anjushree Mukherji- Academic Director of Shri Bal Vinay Mandir, Chhatribagh and Shri Devi Ahilya Shishu Vihar, Rajaswagram, Indore who associated with various NGOs to promote and finance the education for underprivileged children.
Ms Anjana Sridhara- Director and Principal, Navjeevan School for hearing-impaired children who successfully integrated around 300 hearing-impaired children to normal schools.
Archana Parsai Gehlot- Founder of ‘Asmakam‘ – a self-led open learning space to explore real-life education aspects and Founder of ‘Cotfoo- Connecting thru Food’ who created awareness about self-learning & home-schooling in thousands of parents, educators and children.
Late Mrs Suneeta Singh– Laid the foundation of Emerald Heights School in 1982 and adopted the best of education systems & cultures from all over the world who as an educationist at heart put every effort to empower & uplift women through the power of education.
Ms Tahera Jadhav– Director of Barli Development Institute for Rural Women, Indore and involved in the administration of the institute; fundraising & training of illiterate rural & tribal women in literacy, health, vocational skills & community development, committed herself towards providing education and opportunities to the tribal women of MP.
