FLO Skill Centre 2 – St. Soldier Elite Convent School, Majitha

FLO Amritsar has taken a step towards empowering rural women through the FLO Skill Centre 2, inaugurated at St. Soldier Elite Convent School. Supported by OTT (Ott Transformative Trust), the center focuses on equipping rural girls with self-defense techniques and training\ in tailoring and embroidery, including Kantha and mirror work. These skills aim to foster independence, and confidence, enabling women to lead empowered lives.

In partnership with designer Harsimran Sarai, the initiative also introduced The Mahalkari Collection, which blends Punjab’s Phulkari embroidery with Rajasthan’s Jaimahal paintings. Each piece reflects the strength and artistry of the women of Majitha.

The FLO Rural Livelihood Initiative is creating an impact on the lives of subaltern women, empowering them both economically and socially.
