In tune with the National Initiative of Women in Agriculture , FLO Pune Chapter arranged for a visit to Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Baramati. This was hosted by the Pawar Family. It was an entire day outing wherein members were exposed to the work done by KVK as well as the new Dutch techniques in farming they are implementing in India .
Further we visited the bee making centre and saw the working of the bee boxes , the poultry section followed by a Hurda Party.
On interacting with the management an initiative was suggested by the Agro Farm Management to support the Sanitary Towels project.
To add a bit of fun to the event a Hurda (the kernels of jowar which is roasted during the winter months and is a delicacy in Maharashtra) party was hosted by the organizers.
