FLO President Kavitha Chitturi's visit to Kolkata FLO hosts lunch and launches FLO Kolkata Chapter Newsletter

Women Empowerment is the best investment any society can make. Promoting gender equality and democratic governance are practical actions in the goal area that frame our plan. It demonstrates that advancing national, regional and global priorities for women’s empowerment strengthens our progress. A hallmark of progress is women’s participation, decision-making and involvement in the process.

In the past six months, we at FLO & YFLO, Kolkata have acted at catalysts in providing this opportunity and choice to today’s women.

On 17th December, 2009, FLO All President, Kavitha Dutt Chitturi was in Kolkata to attend the YFLO Art Festival. FLO took this opportunity to invite her for lunch at Souk, The Taj Bengal, and launch its first Newsletter of the year.

This newsletter unfolds FLO & YFLO Kolkata chapter’s journey in the past six months. The endeavours, programmes and projects of the year have been successful only with the FLO & YFLO members’ nurturing, brainstorming and wholehearted contribution.
