FLO JKL marked the successful culmination of its Digital Literacy Program in Financial Awareness in collaboration with NIIT Foundation at Government College for Women (GCW), Parade. This initiative aimed to equip young women with essential financial and digital skills as they prepare for future careers.
The program concluded with a ceremony where certificates were awarded to 30 female students by the NIIT Foundation. The chapter also felicitated resource persons Dr. Seema Malhotra, Convener of the Women Study Centre, and faculty members Dr. Neetu Sharma, and Prof. Mohd. Qayoom, Prof. Sukhvinder Kour, and Dr. Iesha Sharma, for their exceptional contributions. Their efforts ensured an engaging and impactful learning experience, covering financial planning, mobile banking, and insurance.
Mrs. Ruchika Gupta, Chairperson of FLO JKL, thanked Dr. Rajinder Tickoo, Principal of GCW Parade, for his support in implementing the program. She emphasized the significance of financial literacy in empowering women and encouraged students to use their new skills to create meaningful impact in their personal and professional lives.
Students and teachers shared overwhelmingly positive feedback about the program. Several students expressed enthusiasm to apply financial concepts in their daily routines and future workplaces. The interactive modules were praised by the teachers, acknowledging their role in enhancing students’ understanding. The college also announced its commitment to starting a new batch soon.
