FLO Indian Women Artisans Awadh Festival – FLO IWAAF ‘ 18

FLO Lucknow Kanpur Chapter organised its flagship event- Indian Women Artisans Awadh Festival – ‘IWAAF’ on 9th, 10th & 11th of February, 2018 at Awadh Shilp Gram, Lucknow. It was inaugurated by Shri Yogi Adityanath,Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh & Smt Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Cabinet Minister in the Government of Uttar Pradesh. FLO National President, Vasvi Bharat Ram was also present at the occasion.

The three-day exhibition presented an opportunity for participants to connect with consumers in the burgeoning market of Uttar Pradesh, and for shoppers to choose from a variety of exciting design options.

Women artisans and craftsperson along with performing artists and culinary artisans from across the country got an opportunity to showcase their talent and works to the consumers of the state of Uttar Pradesh and also an opportunity to expand their market.

The FLO Women’s Artisans festival aimed to get recognition for WE (Women Empowerment) skill initiative, spearheaded by FLO Pan India Chapters, in areas of education, socio-economic upliftment, women welfare and health care. This was a unique concept for women artisans to showcase their work and to network with the high-end designers.
