FLO Hyderabad Annual Retreat to Bhopal

FLO Hyderabad embarked on a memorable 4-day retreat to Bhopal, a city renowned for its cultural heritage, and historical significance. 42 FLO Hyderabad members joined the retreat.

The retreat began with the group’s arrival at Van Vihar National Park. The members had the opportunity to spot various wildlife. Their stay was at the Jehan Numa Palace.

Begum Sonia Rashid and her family hosted a high tea for the team at the Gauhar Mahal, where potters from all over India were showcasing their artistic skills in the annual Bhopal Potters Market. In ‘Shaam-e-Bhopal,’ historian Sikandar Malik took the visitors through the history of the Begums of Bhopal over 4 generations. This was followed by a royal dinner, ‘Shahi Bhopali Dawat,’.

The second day began with a guided tour of the UNESCO World Heritage site, Sanchi Stupa. The evening saw all the participants dressed in their vintage best for the themed lakeside tea party, ‘Bridgerton@Bhopal’.

The third day started with a visit to the 1000-year-old Bhojpur Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, renowned for its huge Shiva linga made of 3 superimposed limestone blocks. They next visited the 548 million-year-old Bhimbetka Rock Shelters, another UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The retreat wrapped up with a member networking session, allowing participants to discuss their business and professional journeys. The group also visited the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya. This retreat provided an opportunity to explore the cultural and historical treasures of Bhopal.
