On June 9, FICCI FLO Vadodara organized a financial literacy training program in Jarod village on the
outskirts of Vadodara to empower women at the grassroots. The event aimed to provide rural women
with the necessary knowledge and tools to make informed decisions about managing their finances and
improve their financial independence.
The session was conducted by an ICICI Bank Foundation representative who began with an overview on
financial literacy and the importance of managing money wisely. Various other concepts were also
discussed like budgeting, saving, awareness of government schemes. Attendees were encouraged to
share their experiences and challenges in managing their finances.
The event was well-received, with attendees expressing their appreciation for the opportunity to learn
new skills and gain valuable knowledge. They also thanked the organizers for conducting such a useful
program in their village. The attendees left the program feeling empowered and motivated to take
control of their financial lives.
Overall, the financial literacy training program was an excellent initiative by FICCI FLO Vadodara to
empower women in JAROD village. FLO Vadodara aims to continue such programs to enable women at
the grassroots.
