FICCI Ladies Organization, North East Chapter had its Change of Guard for the year 2018-2019

Sri PVSLN Murty, CGM State Bank of India, NE Region graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The chapter’s events for the past year, which focused around women empowerment were presented at the session.

Outgoing Chairperson Prabidita Bharati, then invited Sarita Sikaria to head the board for the year 2018-2019 as Chairperson. Dr. Srutimala Duara took over as the Senior Vice Chairperson, Juhie Saboo as the Vice Chairperson, Shalini Jain as the Secretary, Rashmi Manchanda as the Jt Secretary, Ramita Jhunjhunwala as the Treasurer, and Swati Saraf as the Jt Treasurer.

Sri Murty applauded the organisation for their efforts. He suggested that the organisation come forward in a big way to create market linkages for rural women of the north-east, who he said are already skilled in many fields. He emphasized that women are multi tasking every moment and their skill needs to be brought to the market for which his bank is ever ready to help and ficci flo can be the bridge between the two.
