In a significant step towards the fight against tuberculosis (TB), FICCI FLO JKL successfully completed the distribution of nutrition kits to 100 TB patients, under their registration as Ni-Kshay Mitra under the ‘Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.’ This impactful initiative was funded by the proceeds from the ‘Run 4 Health’ marathon, specifically organized by FLO JKL to contribute to the eradication of TB.

This initiative was designed to provide nutrition packs to TB patients throughout their six-month treatment period, ensuring they receive a protein-rich diet essential for their recovery. The program was implemented with the valuable support of the District Tuberculosis Officer, Mrs. Amita Turki, whose guidance & support was crucial in the successful execution of this initiative.

Our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, has set an ambitious goal for a TB-free India by 2025 under the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. FLO JKL’s initiative is a significant step towards contributing to this national mission.

These kits were distributed to patients across Jammu and peripheral areas such as Bantalab, Marh, Akhnoor, Khanpur, among others. The nutrition kits distributed contained essential items such as pulses, millets, rice, atta, soya, B-complex supplements, and oil, all tailored to meet the dietary needs of TB patients over the course of six months. The comprehensive nature of these packs ensures that patients receive balanced nutrition crucial for their treatment and recovery.
