FICCI FLO extended a warm welcome to a delegation of 22 journalists from 10 Eurasian countries—Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, Armenia, Georgia, and Iran. The interaction was part of a familiarization programme organized by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
The event commenced with a traditional welcome for the journalists, symbolizing India’s rich cultural heritage and hospitality. The objective of this interaction was to provide members of the foreign media with insights into various aspects of India, particularly the role of FICCI FLO in empowering women and supporting women-led businesses in the country. The discussion also covered topics related to the Indian economy, with a focus on opportunities for trade and investment.
Poonam Sharma, Senior Vice President of FLO, along with Governing Body Members Saloni Mehta and Priyanka Gulati, addressed the delegation. They spoke about the impactful work of FICCI FLO in promoting entrepreneurship and professional excellence among women. They also highlighted India as a prime destination for trade and investment, sharing their own experiences and insights into the dynamic business landscape of the country.
The session was moderated by Ankurita Pathak, Joint Director of FLO, ensuring a smooth and engaging interaction. Rashmi Sarita, Executive Director of FLO, delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the journalists for their participation and to all those who contributed to the success of the event.
