FLO Ahmedabad organized an educational trip to Patan on November 19, 2024, as a part of the Travel and Learn initiative. 40 members participated in the trip as they explored the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Rani Ki Vav, and the Patola House Museum. Members learned about the history and cultural significance of these landmarks and engaged in discussions about Gujarat’s traditional crafts and architecture.
Members explored the Patola Heritage Museum in Patan. At the Patola Museum, members gained insights into the weaving techniques from the Salvi family. They demonstrated the intricate process of Patola creation, shared how designs are decided, and explained the time and skill involved in crafting these exquisite textiles.
This experience deepened members’ appreciation for Gujarat’s rich heritage and craftsmanship, making the trip a resounding success.
