EMPOWERING AND EMPLOYING WOMEN AND ENCOURAGING THEM TO BE ENTREPRENEURS.

500 Hens were distributed to 25 women who are part of a Self Help Group in Umbare village. Initial training was given to them in looking after these hens along with their food through the Animal Husbandry Department.
Future Plans include setting up a small kiosk for them on the outskirt of the village so they can sell the eggs and become financially independent. This project is funded from the funds raised through Marathon 2019
