FLO Indore, under its Digital Literacy Initiative, organized a session on “Basics of LinkedIn” at the InfoBeans Foundation, for 40 students. The chapter undertook to empower and make them financially independent.
The event was designed with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively use LinkedIn as a professional networking tool. The session was led by Ms. Shruti P. Maheshwari, an accomplished expert in digital platforms. The event was chaired by Ms. Garjana Rathore and attended by FLO members, Chhavi Doshi, Varsha Dogra, and Ruchi Gupta, alongside Chairperson, FLO Indore, Ar. Vibha Jain Sethi and Senior Vice Chair, CA Shweta Agrawal.
Ms. Maheshwari highlighted the importance of maintaining an updated LinkedIn profile and uploading certifications to showcase skills and accomplishments. She emphasized the need to strategically follow companies to stay informed about industry requirements and to make meaningful professional connections while being selective.
The session also underscored the significance of understanding the chronology of certifications relevant to specific career paths and utilizing features like the “Ready to Work” option to attract recruiters. The session provided students with in-depth knowledge of LinkedIn’s potential and its role in personal and professional growth.
