DIWALI CELEBRATION WITH 100 WOMEN FARMERS OF OSMANABAD

A session on Entrepreneurship and employment generation was organized for these ladies with a vision to empower, enrich, engage and employ women in our society.
FLO Pune joined hands with government bodies to support to see how women can become entrepreneurs further with another project i.e establishing their own small scale business and conduct training and sessions on Honey production at their farm.

To keep in line with the National Initiative FLO Pune Chapter collaborated with MSKVBK (Maharashtra State Khadi and Village Industries Board) for bees. This Board is into implementing the beekeeping scheme for the purpose of spreading pollination by providing bee boxes to the farmers and for generating additional employment for the beekeepers in the State. Tuvar Dal attracts bees.
Once all 100 women are registered with government MSKVBK (Maharashtra State Khadi and Village Industries Board) will provide 8 days of training on BEE BOX in Osmanabad.

With the collaboration of government, BEE BOX will be provided to women farmers. Regular monitoring and evaluation will be conducted by FICCI Flo Pune Chapter along with MSKVBK (Maharashtra State Khadi and Village Industries Board) and the government will take back the honey and sell at their government stores. Talks are in progress to assess the government subsidy and buyback of honey.
