Key points raised during the discussion included: The role of families: Families are often the first line of defense, and parents must create a safe and supportive environment for their children.
Open communication, education about consent, and challenging harmful gender stereotypes are essential. The impact of media: The media plays a significant role in shaping societal attitudes and values. It is imperative to promote responsible content that does not glorify violence or objectify women. The need for comprehensive sex education : Schools should incorporate comprehensive sex education into their curriculam to equip young people with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions and understand their rights. The importance of self-defense training: Empowering women with self-defense skills can boost their confidence and provide them with tools to protect themselves. The role of law enforcement: Law enforcement agencies must be committed to addressing crimes against women promptly and effectively. They should also work to create a safe and welcoming environment for victims to report incidents.
