On the occasion of the 78th Independence Day, FICCI FLO Jaipur Chapter, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Raghushree Poddar, undertook a significant step towards promoting digital literacy at Mahatma Gandhi Rajkiya Vidhyalaya, Kheerwa Village. This initiative aligns with our broader mission to empower rural communities by providing access to modern technology, thereby enhancing the educational prospects of students in underserved areas.
A digital lab was inaugurated at Mahatma Gandhi Rajkiya Vidhyalaya as part of our ongoing efforts to integrate technology into education. The lab was equipped with two desktop computers, generously donated by Ms. Suruchi Dhoot, Executive Committee Member of FICCI FLO Jaipur, in collaboration with DotSquares. The objective is to provide students and teachers with the necessary tools to develop digital skills, crucial for academic success and future career opportunities.
The introduction of digital resources in the school marks a transformative step in the learning environment. The availability of computers will facilitate better understanding of subjects, encourage research, and enhance the overall educational experience. This initiative aims to bridge the digital divide and ensure that students from rural backgrounds are not left behind in the rapidly advancing technological world.
In addition to the digital lab, the school’s infrastructure has been enhanced by the installation of a solar power plant, thanks to the efforts of Ms. Neha Maheshwary, an executive committee member and one of our sponsors. The solar energy system ensures a steady supply of electricity, powering the computers and other essential equipment, and contributes to an eco-friendly and sustainable learning environment.
The digital literacy initiative directly benefits approximately 100 students at Mahatma Gandhi Rajkiya Vidhyalaya. By providing access to modern technology, the initiative empowers these students with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the digital age. Teachers also benefit from these resources, enabling them to deliver more effective and engaging lessons
The event saw enthusiastic participation from the FICCI FLO Jaipur Chapter, including the executive committee, school staff, and students. The excitement among the students was palpable as they explored the new digital tools now available to them, marking a new chapter in their educational journey.
This digital literacy initiative was executed solely by FICCI FLO Jaipur Chapter, without any government involvement. The project reflects our dedication to community-driven efforts aimed at bringing about meaningful change in rural and underserved areas.
The launch of the digital lab at Mahatma Gandhi Rajkiya Vidhyalaya stands as a testament to FICCI FLO Jaipur’s commitment to education and digital empowerment. By donating computers and establishing a sustainable power supply, we have taken significant steps toward ensuring that these students receive a quality education that prepares them for the future. This initiative is not just about providing technology; it is about opening doors to new opportunities, fostering curiosity, and nurturing the potential of every student.
