DHARAMSHALA- A JOURNEY WITHIN

FICCI FLO Kolkata Explorers 2023-24 took its members on an incredible journey of nature, inner peace, and cultural enrichment in the enchanting destination of Dharamshala. This remarkable event, organized by FICCI FLO Kolkata, brought together individuals seeking a transformative experience that would leave a lasting impact.

Upon arrival at Dharamshala Airport, the participants were greeted by the awe-inspiring beauty of a land where nature meets inner peace. A short drive brought them to Hotel Hyatt Regency in McLeodganj, the basecamp for this extraordinary adventure. The journey commenced with a delectable lunch at the hotel, preparing them for the enlightening experiences that awaited.

Under the guidance of the Buddhist Nun Ven. Lhundup Jamyang, the participants delved into teachings and meditation sessions, exploring the profound healing power of the natural mind and the captivating art of Thangka painting. As the day unfolded, they had the opportunity to explore the quaint local market of McLeodganj, immersing themselves in its vibrant ambiance.

The following day began with a visit to seek divine blessings from His Holiness The Dalai Lama, a revered spiritual leader. Participants experienced the serenity of the Namgyal Monastery, His Holiness’ personal sanctuary. The journey then led them to the iconic HPCA Cricket Stadium, where they marveled at its picturesque beauty and the charm of the surroundings. A delightful lunch awaited them at Taj Norbu The Montanna, treating their taste buds to a culinary extravaganza.

To further immerse themselves in Tibetan culture, the participants visited the Norbulingka Institute, dedicated to the preservation of Tibetan literary and artistic traditions. The tour and tea session provided them with a deeper understanding of the rich heritage of the Tibetan people.

The FICCI FLO Kolkata Explorers visited the esteemed Chinmaya Mission for darshan and aarti, delving into the profound wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita. The day concluded with a delightful dinner at Hyatt Regency, allowing them to savor the moments and connections made throughout this extraordinary adventure.The final morning in Dharamshala offered additional activities to enhance their well-being, including invigorating yoga sessions and refreshing trail walks. After a wholesome breakfast, the participants bid farewell to this enchanting destination and made their way to the airport, carrying with them cherished memories of this transformative experience.
