Demystifying MSMEs : Session 2 (Benefits of the ONDC Network)

FICCI FLO Mumbai Chapter in collaboration with Kalpana Saroj Foundation and Zhep Udyoginichi organized a panel discussion with 40 entrepreneurs on the various advantages associated with registering on the government supported ONDC ( Open Network for Digital Commerce).

Mr. Dheeraj Kumar, Regional head , ONDC addressed several issues and clarified doubts amongst the entrepreneurs on issues of concern.

Mr. Kumar explained the various procedures and benefits both for product and services which today have benefited several small scale entrepreneurs by providing them wider marketing network, simplistic logistics, minimal cost registration fee. There is no turnover criteria required for onboarding on the ONDC network as long as you have a product catalogue you can do business.

ONDC research shows that many have benefitted both as sellers and buyers as there is minimal cost involved. It is direct selling platform which makes it cost effective. Today more than 2 crore products are registered on the platform and consumers can directly procure their goods on MyStore .

Government is going all out to encourage small entrepreneurs make a beginning so as to be financially independent. ONDC is on a regular basis expanding the scope of the product categories so as to encourage more sellers on the platform.

FICCI FLO will be organising a session and a help desk with the entrepreneurs for helping them enrol on the ONDC Network on MSME Day.
Session had a direct impact on around 40 entrepreneurs present at the session.
