CUMMINS INDIA AND FICCI FLO COME TOGETHER TO DISCUSS PRESSING ISSUES ON WOMEN EMPOWERMENT IN THE INDIAN CONTEXT

Women empowerment is all about equipping and allowing women to make life-determining decision through different issues in the society. Pune Chapter witnessed two most powerful speakers address them on 14th October 2019. This program was done in collaboration with Cummins India.

Rise Up is an organization involved in empowering women and young girls to transform their lives, families and communities for more just and equitable world through investment in local solutions, strengthening leadership and building movements. It is based in the USA and is working closely with Cummins in India.

Ms. VidhuPrabha, from Rise Up spoke on gender equity initiative, building partnerships, leading campaigns, networking and promoting leadership for advancing gender justice. Ms. Anuradha Bhosale a renowned women and anti-child labor activist based in Kolhapur. A child labor herself spoke to us about her real life experiences. Various women centric groups were invited to be a part of this interactive session.
