FLO Indore held a ” Conversation over Coffee”, on 11th July, an informal members meet focusing on achieving health in a world of fads and diets. Moderated by Miss Neha Mittal, Past chairperson , FLO Indore, the discussion at Iris Cafe attracted approximately 27 members. Two podcasts by Nitesh Kamath and Krish Ashok on health were shared, which were the base of Conversation meet. Chairperson 24-25’ , Ar Vibha Jain Sethi’s idea behind coffee meet was to connect members over issues affecting their daily lives. The conversation explored various aspects of achieving health beyond just physical fitness.
One topic of interest was the role of sugar substitutes like brown sugar. Attendees questioned their effectiveness and true health benefits compared to regular sugar. The discussion emphasized a productive approach to health. Members shared their experiences, while highlighting the importance of peaceful sleep and portion control for overall well-being.
The importance of staying active, regardless of the form of exercise (yoga, stretching, gym workouts, etc.), was another key takeaway. Finding an exercise routine that suits individual preferences is crucial. The conversation also touched upon the power of meditation and its role in achieving mental and physical fitness.
With the rise of protein bars and biscuits influenced by Western culture, members stressed the importance of reading food labels and understanding ingredients. Informed consumption is essential.
Participants gained knowledge on maintaining healthy habits for a fit body and a peaceful mind.
