Consumer: Know your Rights & Resposibilities FICCI, Federation House, Tansen Marg, New Delhi – November 11, 2009

FLO organized an interactive session on “Consumer: Know Your Rights and Responsibilities” for its members. Ms Rajyalakshmi Rao, Member, National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Govt. of India and Governing Body Member, FLO was the speaker.

Ms. Rajyalakshmi Rao has done her post graduation in Advertising from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign, USA. She has the unique distinction of being the only person who has worked in all three tiers of Consumer Protection – as a member of the District Forum, State Commission and presently in the National Commission. She has authored a book titled ‘Consumer is King, Know Your Rights & Remedies’.

In the session, she discussed with the audience the importance of knowing one’s rights as a consumer and the various courses of action one could easily take when those rights were violated.

The interactive session ended with a vote of thanks by Ranjana Agarwal, Senior Vice President, FLO.
