“Confluence” with Kathak Maestro Sanjukta Sinha and King of Contemporary Dance Pankaj Sihag

Confluence, a dance workshop organized by Flo Kolkata chapter for its members with two of the most renowned names in dance today, the kathak maestro Sanjukta Sinha and the king of contemporary dance, Pankaj Sihag.

Sanjukta, a solo dancer of distinction

Sanjukta is a new age kathak dancer with a ‘cutting edge style’ of her own, her works are often referred to as ‘ Kathak in its new vocabulary’. Sanjukta collaborated with several international artists from across various dance forms and was recently awarded by the Sangeet Natak Academy.

Pankaj, a maestro in flying low contemporary technique

Pankaj Sihag is trained in contemporary under the guidance of David Zambrano and in Kathak dance with Sanyukta Sinha Dance Company, Ahmedabad and has developed his own unique style blending both dance forms. Pankaj has performed in multiple international shows and has won many hearts through his dance.

The flow of Art-Transition & Movement from cutting edge technology to spiral on the floor

The two artists together created a unique set of movements including spins and pirouettes, floor work and speed which left the members spellbound.

The precision in hand, foot, body movement was so easily explained in a step by step way that flooded the comment box with ‘wow’s’ from members.
