Chennai AGM & Change of Guard at Hyatt Regency, Chennai

The beginning of a new FLO year 2013-2014 was ushered in on April 22nd 2013, the Change of Guard meeting was held at The Hyatt Regency. The year 2012 -2013 concluded under the able guidance of chairperson Ms. Srikantha Jhaver, having executed outstanding programmes all through the year. The meeting began with welcome address by Ms Srikanta Jhaver – highlighting the achievements and programmes of the year 2012 – 2013, including initiation of 100 new members, developing a Corpus Fund after a successful Fund Raiser, so that Chennai Chapter can be identified with a single social cause. All the programmes covering a wide range of topics from successful Women Entrepreneurs, Corporate Social Responsibility to Paradigms of Leadership, etc. were well received by the members.

Next on the anvil was the secretary’s report by Ms Shenaz Gulrez, showcased by an audio visual presentation of the whole year’s programme and event. The Treasurer’s report by Ms.Sri Lakshmi Mohan Rao, included the details of introduction of new members, financial statement of the year and confirmation of appointment of Auditor of Chennai Chapter.

Ms Srikanta Jhaver then called on the incoming Chairperson Ms.Mrinalini Dhanesh Maher and ceremonially passed on the Chairperson’s Medal for the year 2013 – 2014 . Ms Mrinalini Maher spoke about her plans and aspirations for the Chapter, revealing the theme of the year as Inspire. Involve. Impact. She also gave a sneak preview into the three forthcoming programmes, including the Overnight Retreat. She also introduced everybody to her new Executive Committee.

The vote of thanks was given by Ms.Himani Dattar. The meeting concluded with members bonding over lunch.
