Hyderabad FLO organised the change of guard ceremony for FLO and YFLO. Mr. Sabyasachi Mukherjee, the iconic Indian fashion designer addressed the event as Chief Guest. Mrs. Rekha Reddy, Chairperson of FLO and Mrs. Mourya Boda Chairperson YFLO, both introduced their new respective committees. Mr. Sabyasachi spoke on “Saree – symbol of quintessential Indian Women ” He strongly emphasised on the importance of wearing a saree stating that it brings in a sense of timelessness and is a non pretentious pure indian clothing.
He meticulously explained the history of a saree and the power that encompasses an Indian woman when she is draped in one. Sabyasachi educated the audience on the vast culture and artmanship of saree weaving which exists in India which has drawn the attention of international design houses like Hermes to tap the doors of Indian Saree making. He illustrated his plans to revive and popularize indian weaving which would immensely benefit the survival of indian weavers and promote our rich culture world wide. All the FLO & YFLO members were looking elegant, draped in Sarees.
