Change Agents of Indian Politics Delhi, July 15th, 2010

Young FLO Delhi, under Chairperson Vasvi Bharat Ram, kicked of it’s year on the 15th of Jul ‘10 by organizing an interactive panel discussion titled, “The Change Agents of Indian Politics”. The eminent speakers were young, dynamic politicians like Mr. Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister Of State for Commerce and Industry; Mr. Sachin pilot, Minister of State for Communication and Information Technology; and the newly elected member of the Lok Sabha from Orissa, Mr. Kalikesh Singh Deo. The event was moderated by the renowned journalist, Mr. Vikram Chandra of NDTV.

The event opened with Mrs Ranjana Aggarwal, President FLO, speaking a few lines on the topic. After which Vasvi Bharat Ram welcomed the members to a new year at Yflo,introduced each of the panelists and handed the floor to Mr. Vikram Chandra. Each of the speakers spoke on the changes that they have tried to make in the political arena, the opportunities that they have had and challenges that they are faced with like the malice of corruption and the problems of vote bank politics. When faced with sensitive questions, you could see the political suaveness of the young generation by their ability to handle the questions in an extremely diplomatic manner.

There was an enthusiastic participation of the audience in the question answer session. All those present felt heartened and reassured that the country was safe in the hands of these intelligent and dynamic young politicians.

The event was a roaring success with more than 150 people in attendance. A great start to the Yflo year !
