Cervical cancer – Detectable, Preventable and Treatable

January being the Cervical Health Awareness Month  FICCI FLO North East Chapter organised an  awareness programme in collaboration with Apollo Hospital 21st January 2018. Dr. Him Leena enlightened the audience about reasons, problems and  of cervical cancer. Dr Leena laid stress on the fact that women above 35 years should undergo medical tests that include  Paps Smear, USG , HPV tests etc for early detection and prevention of the gynecological problem and disease.

Dr Aloka Goswami, Gynecologist  explained about Breast Cancer and how to do a self test.

The motivational talk by Dr Minoti Borthakur, a cancer survivor for 24 years,  left us spell bound by her positive attitude to life.

Coupons were also distributed by Apollo Hospital   for free pap smear tests and discounts on whole body tests.

Nothing can be better than making our daughters aware about Cervical Cancer and getting them vaccinated.
