On Friday, August 16, 2024, Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology (RIT) hosted a “Campus to Corporate” (C2C) training session attended by 317 students. The 6-hour training, which received an outstanding rating of 4.9 out of 5.0, included a range of topics designed to prepare students for professional environments. The training covered essential skills such as self-awareness, critical and creative thinking, communication, time management, problem-solving, stress management, teamwork, leadership, self-motivation, and the transition from campus to corporate life. The session also featured 17 mock interviews, 8 group discussions, and guided the preparation of 315 resumes, providing practical experience to students.
Feedback from RIT highlighted the course’s effectiveness, relevance to students’ lifestyles, and its ability to help them identify areas for personal and professional improvement. Students described the sessions as engaging, interactive, and highly informative, with hands-on activities that made learning enjoyable and concepts easier to grasp. The resource person was praised for their detailed coverage of topics and engaging delivery. The training was also recognized for its real-world applicability, particularly in helping students understand the nuances of CV preparation and interview techniques.
Based on the positive feedback, FLO recommends that the faculty follow up on the students’ CVs after the training program, consider conducting the training for final semester students before campus recruitment, and encourage all students to provide feedback to enhance the program’s effectiveness.
