Breast Cancer Awareness Walkathon

Under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Divya Abhishek, FLO Chennai actively supported CANSTOP’s 15th annual walkathon, “ONE WALK ONE HOPE,” held on October 27th, 2024, at Island Grounds. In collaboration with Rotary District 3234 and observance of International Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Gathering, over 1,500 participants joined at Island Grounds, Chennai. The event focused on raising awareness about the importance of regular breast examinations and the role of early detection in combating breast cancer.

FLO Chennai joined the broader community in championing the theme “Hope starts with us,” reinforcing the message through their engagement. Past FLO Chairperson, Dr. Vijayabharathi Rangarajan, brought her unwavering dedication to cancer awareness to this year’s walkathon, contributing significantly to the event’s impact.

Through the combined efforts of CANSTOP, FLO Chennai, and Rotary District 3234, “ONE WALK ONE HOPE” once again highlighted the power of collective action and the importance of public awareness, emphasising the message “Together We CAN Make A Difference.
