Art “Then & Now” with Sakti Burman & Maya Burman

Gallery Sanskriti hosted a wonderful evening for YFLO with Eminent Artist Sakti Burman & Daughter Maya Burman on difference of art between the two generations. The evening was moderated by film producer & founder of Weavers Studio Centre for the Arts Mrs. Darshan Shah along with Shalini Shrama Editor, Hi Blitz Magazine. The contemporary Indian artist of Indian parentage living in France spoke on the difference in buying art then & now, prices & difference in tastes of Indian & French art investors/collectors. Sakti Burman spoke on the hardships which artists had to go through before getting the glamour while Maya shed lights on the hardships she faced being an eminent painters daughter as she had to develop her own style while being careful of being unique from her parents . The evening ended with lots of Q&A from the audience followed by signing & autographs from Sakti & Maya.
