Annual Session and Change of Guard 2014-15

FLO Chennai Chapter organised its Change of Guard on April 17, 2014 at Hyatt regency, Chennai.

Ms .Mrinalini Maher, Chairperson Flo Chennai , welcomed the gathering. She thanked the past Chairpersons, her team, members and her family for their support all through the year. She hoped she satisfied her theme ‘Inspire. Involve. Impact’ , this past year. She gave away mementos as a token of appreciation to her team.

Ms.Ekta Agarwal, read out the sequence of programs held by Flo in 2013-2014 . An Audio visual presentation showed a glimpse of the activities –Women and wealth creation by Anand Rathi; Wills and Trusts; Overnight Retreat at Fishcove; Day of luxury by Estee Lauder; Tech talk; Age is just a number;Self Defence program at Raj Bhavan; Inter state meet at New Delhi; Consulate Conclave; Fund Raiser play – Nothing like Lear; Flo Awards function followed by Fashion Show . CSR program done were-sponsored 20 underprivileged girls for nurse aides course and a lung screening camp. Ms.Shobana Reddy, Past Chairperson appreciated her, for the job well done and gifted her a bouquet on behalf of all Past Chairs.

The treasurer Ms.Sri Lakshmi Mohan Rao presented her report and read out the balance sheet .She congratulated Ms.Mrinalini Maher for getting the highest sponsorship for that year. She announced that the same auditor would continue. The treasurer’s report was proposed by Ms.Shanthi Balaraman and seconded by Ms.Saroj Goenka.

Ms.Parveen Papa was introduced by the outgoing Chairperson and was invited to be the Chairperson for 2014-2015 by presenting the Flo Chairperson’s Medal, thus marking the Change of Guard.

Ms.Parveen Papa accepted with all humility the post of Flo Chairperson, Chennai for the year 2014-2015. She appreciated the work done by the Past Chairperson and invited the support of all the Past Chairs and members for the ensuing year. She introduced her new team members :Board Member – Dr.Vijayabharathi Rangarajan, Ms.Nabila Avais, Ms. Deepali Goyal, Ms.Vimmi Deepak, Ms.Sri Lakshmi Mohan Rao, Ms. Meena Mohan, Ms. Mrinalini Maher

Executive Committee members – Ms.Chitra Gopinath, Ms.Ekta Agarwal, Ms.Geetha Ramanathan, Ms.Jayashree Chinne, Ms.Preeti Ganeriwala, Ms.Puja Gupta Ms.Rachna Kuma, Ms.Sadiya Junaid, Ms.Sakshi Sahoonja, Ms.Vasughi Adityan.

Ms.Parveen Papa gave a power point presentation of the proposed programs for the year 2014-2015 and asked members to participate and give suggestions. Her theme is ‘To Transform’ – by making a difference in people’s lives and the programs are tailored accordingly. The CSR is aligned with the National Flo theme of employability skills training for girls.

Dr.Vijayabharathi Rangarajan, senior vice chair gave the vote of thanks and wished the incoming team success. The meeting concluded with the National Anthem.
