Aari Embroidery Graduation

FLO Chennai organized a member-driven Aari Hand Embroidery training program from June to August, sponsored by FLO members. The initiative aimed to equip rural women with traditional embroidery skills along with modern competencies such as digital and financial literacy, wellness awareness, and communication tools. Fifty women successfully completed both Basic and Advanced Level 1 training.

On August 24th, a graduation ceremony was held where participants showcased their work. The event had a significant impact, reaching a total of 115 women, including 45 attendees focused on building awareness. Additionally, six men, along with Rotary members and social work undergraduates from a local college, attended to explore internship opportunities. This program exemplifies FLO’s dedication to empowering rural and grassroots communities through skill development and entrepreneurship, fostering sustainable livelihoods and confidence within these communities.
