An empowering session with leading journalist & political thinker Mr MJ Akbar on ‘Social Conflicts & Economic Growth’ was conducted on 18 August 2008 at The Galaxy, Park Hotel.

As we completed 61 years of Independence, India has moved steadily from fundamentalism to secularism, from political indifference to political consciousness, the nation has awakened to economic nationalism and social reform. Mr Akbar enabled us to understand the dynamics of power and exploitation, as well as the conflict theory of growth and change, specific to India.
