3rd Servo Red River Car Rally

FLO Northeast Chapter organised their 3rd Servo Red River Car Rally on 5th January,2014 at the Guwahati Gymkhana Club.Our Chief Guest,Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industries and Power,Govt of Assam,Shri Pradyut Bordoloi and his entrepreneur wife Rani Bordoloi flagged off the rally along with Mr.P.Dey,Executive Director of Indian Oil(Servo,our title sponsor)at 8 am.27 cars participated in the TSD rally which had a route of around 85 kms.Navigators from Kolkata and neighbouring state Meghalaya and Nagaland participated in the rally too.

Chairperson Monisha Baruwa along with past chairs Queen Oja and Saroj Khemka felicitated the dignified guests with memento and stoles.In her welcome speech,Monisha Baruwa thanked Hon,ble Minister for accepting the invitation and acknowledged the valuable contribution of the sponsors,participants and Flo Ne members, without whom the event would have been impossible.

While addressing the gathering of invited guests,participants and Flo Ne members,Hon’ble Minister Shri Bordoloi in his speech appreciated the programmes organised by Flo Ne since its inception and specially mentioned that a ladies organisation conducting a rally will definitely inspire the citizens of Guwahati and will carry a better picture of the Law and Order situation of the State to the rest of India.

The event being a fund raiser, a part of the proceed was marked and handed over to Sahayika,child guidance centre towards educating 4 differently abled girls of Sahayika from economically backward families.

The prize giving ceremony was held at 3pm at the same premises.
