The 2nd GB Meet was hosted in Kolkata for the first time, spread over two-days. The meet kicked off with the YFLO-FLO Bazaar inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister of State for Women and Child Welfare & Social Welfare, Dr. Shashi Panja and the National President FLO, Ms. Vasvi Bharat Ram.
The YFLO-FLO Bazaar had sixty eight stalls, showcasing the diverse tradition of craftsmanship in textile, merchandise, art works and fashion from across states of India under one roof. This luncheon showcased the unique street-food culture of Kolkata adding to the true bazar experience. The exhibition had over 2000 visitors thought the day making it a grand success.
Post GB, held at Taj Bengal, a gala cocktail and dinner evening themed Bengali nite was organized at the Chairperson’s residence, wherein the members took to dressing up in traditional Bengali outfit. The evening was overtaken by the Sapphires and the legendry Ms. Usha Uthup.
With breakfast at The Flury’s and a road-trip to the Dakhineswar Temple, the members joined in for a historic recap of old Kolkata on a river cruise in the afternoon. The evening concluded with the sunset view by the riverbanks of Hooghly, the skyline of the City and the Ganga Aarti by the Ganges with iconic Howrah Bridge in the backdrop.
