1ST ANNUAL DAY of FLO NORTHEAST CHAPTER

FLO North East marked its 1st anniversary on the 16th of December, 2008 at Shilpagram, Guwahati. The programme was a memorable one as it was attended by various FLO members from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai including FLO National President, Ms. Anuradha Goel, FLO National Past President, Ms. Kiran Gera, FLO Incoming President Ms. Kavita Dutt, 19 Vice President Ms. Ranjana Agarwal and all Executive Board Members.

Honorable Minister for Industry and Commerce, Govt. of Assam, Sri Pradyut Bordoloi, who had inaugurated the north-east chapter, helped us in marking our 1″ anniversary. The programme was made even more memorable as the minister released the 1st issue of FLO North East newsletter.

FLO North East felicitated 5 women achievers of north-east from various fields on the same day. They included, Mrs Kalpana Bezbaruah, who has been working with special children; Mrs. Prabati Baruah, the only women elephant trainer; Mrs. Suchibrata Roy Choudhury, social activist; Mrs. Jarjum etc. involved in women civil and political rights; Mrs. Jesmina Zeliang, working in enhancing the handicrafts of North-east under her company banner, Cane Concepts.
