Chairperson's Message

Dear Friends,

During India's G20 Presidency, women-led development emerged as a crucial focus area, which makes FLO’s role as an enabler even more critical. At FLO Hyderabad, our strategic initiatives for 2024-25 align closely with the imperatives of women empowerment at all levels.

Taking the vision of FLO forward, which is The Power to Empower, our focus during the next 12 months would be to syncretize the diverse capabilities of our members into a collective power through a sectorwise schedule of events and initiatives. 20% of our curation will cater to Nourishing the imagination through speaker sessions, interactive events and fellowship meets for our members.

40% of our curation addresses the need to Navigate the sea of possibilities via experiential learning, workshops, conclaves, and upskilling courses for members and women at large. 40% of our curation will be mapped to placing the power of sustainable livelihood generation and self-reliance in the hands of women weavers and farmers to Nurture their innate potential. Design intervention, training in commercial vegetable growing market connects, health & hygiene, digital financial literacy are ways in which we will support these grassroots communities through the year.

In all cases, our endeavour would be to close the loop by connecting our skilling and literacy beneficiaries with the GEM portal, and the corporate retail sectors for gainful employment. To reiterate…our overarching purpose is to build confident women leaders. Because when women prosper, the world prospers. Our economic empowerment fuels growth – our access to education drives progress – our leadership fosters inclusivity – and our voices inspire positive change.

I am grateful to the Presidium, and the Past Chairs Council at FLO Hyderabad for trusting me with this coveted office and am determined to make a positive and sustainable difference along with my team of Changemakers.
