In order to maintain an international perspective and infuse global best practices in our activities, FICCI FLO partners and networks with various organisations focussed towards women entrepreneurship within India as well as on the global arena.
The CWEC is one of the Product & Service Councils of CACCI-Confederation of Asia – Pacific Chamber of commerce & Industry. CACCI is a regional, non- governmental business led organisation of Chambers of Commerce & Industry of more than 3 million business enterprises in Asia & Western Pacific Region.
CWEC is a business forum which plays a very significant role in highlighting the role, impact and influence of women in the global economy and ensuring that the role of women is not undermined or overlooked anymore. FLO has affiliated with CWEC to work towards the common goal of women empowerment.
The Council has taken several remarkable initiatives towards providing a platform for women of the CACCI member countries to network, explore& promote business ventures among its members and work for the growth and development of women in the region through cooperation and interaction.

International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge Foundation –IWEC– is a registered non-profit organization based in New York City. It is an initiative of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce of Manhattan (New York) and FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) supported by the U.S. Department of State. Soon after, The Cape Chamber of Commerce in South Africa became a vital partner.
The mission of IWEC is to develop a global business network for successful women business owners, helping them to gain and expand knowledge of international markets and develop leadership skills IWEC also presents a platform for the exchange of knowledge, experience and connectivity among women business owners worldwide, setting the stage for new business opportunities and joint ventures and promoting social dialogue and know how, among business entrepreneurs and leaders.
Each year IWEC continues to expand by inviting other chambers in other countries to participate and by moving the Annual Conferences to new cities. FLO nominates 3 awardees from India every year and 3 awardees from the CACCI Countries.
Three awardees are chosen by the individual chambers and, along with chamber executives, they are invited to participate in the annual conference to receive their award and to network and share best practices

To recognize the contribution of women entrepreneurs in society, India-ASEAN Women Business Forum (IAWBF) was launched by Smt. Sushma Swaraj, Minister of External Affairs, Govt of India on 5th July 2017 in New Delhi.
As leading business organizations in India and ASEAN region, FLO and IAWBF are both committed to promoting trade and investment between India and ASEAN Counties. The objective of the forum is to promote trade exchange and investment between India and ASEAN women with the purpose to deepen existing economic relations.
India-ASEAN Women Business Forum (IAWBF) shall take concrete steps to foster friendship and understanding between the business women of India and ASEAN to promote cooperation in trade, investment, services and women economic empowerment between both the countries.
SCWEC was established on March 29, 2001 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, with the objective of developing and promoting women entrepreneurs in the South Asian region. The Council works towards facilitating co-operation and networking among the women entrepreneurs of the SAARC region. It is an effective platform for strengthening the intra-regional development of women entrepreneurship for economic development thus helping to exchange information on entrepreneurial skills and building trade links among the women of the SAARC region.
Since the inception of SCWEC a number of workshops, round table conference, seminars, training programs, annual events have been held during the tenure of SCWEC Chair Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and India. These networking programs have led to some common challenges enabling us to identify some best practices for replication as regional projects. This could result in better opportunities for SAARC entrepreneurs to strengthen their trade activities.
SCWEC is committed to the development of woman entrepreneurship with tangible goals of increasing business opportunities, building markets, job creation as well as strategic networking and growing woman run enterprises into mainstream business. It is a member based Council.
FLO Past President, Kavitha Dutt Chitturi is the Vice Chairperson of SCWEC from India.
FLO and WCD affiliation was inaugurated on February 27, 2012 by Susan Stautberg, Co-founder of the Women Corporate Director (WCD) and Naina Lal Kidwai, President-FICCI & Executive Director on the Board of HSBC Ltd. and Country Head of HSBC India.
FLO and WCD association began with a MOU signed between WCD and FLO in 2010-11. Under the MOU, WCD and FLO agreed to create a platform for women directors to network, discuss and share best practices.
FICCI FLO partnered with WCD to create a platform for women directors to discuss and share experiences and learning from their board assignments. WCD’s agenda also includes mentoring potential women directors and creating a resource pool of women directors for the corporate world.
The goal is to help prospective and sitting women directors acquire the tools required to face the challenges of corporate board positions and facilitate networking.
Past President FLO, Ranjana Agarwal is the founder chair of FLO – WCD affiliation and India chair of WCD.
