FLO Advocacy and Legal Cell will equip members and other women with political and legal tools to influence gender discourse.
OBJECTIVES OF FLO ADVOCACY AND LEGAL CELL
- Identify gaps in policy and law affecting women in India
- Conceptualize & design advocacy tools in this direction
- Interface with government and other relevant bodies for policy advocacy
- Create partnerships with relevant national and local bodies
- Use creative means to change social perceptions of women
- Create a platform for progressive thought and knowledge sharing
- Undertake legal literacy and capacity building programmes at different levels to create the legal awareness among people
- Encourage members to spread legal awareness on women rights
