Guided walk through the Consolidated Coin Company (P) Ltd.

FICCI Ladies Organisation organized a walk through the Consolidated Coin Company (P) Ltd., the largest manufacturer and supplier of Circulation Coin Blanks to the Government on India, on February 13, 2017.

Consolidated Coin Company is India’s largest integrated producer of Coin Blanks and Copper / Copper Alloy Strips. The manufacturing plant, located at Faridabad, satellite town of New Delhi in India, produces over 25,000 Metric Tonnes of unusually wide range of Copper / Copper Alloy products specially made for such purposes as Coins, Coin Blanks etc.

The members witnessed the manufcaturing process of Rs 10 & Rs 5 Coin Blanks, produced for the Government of India. The Company is also a leading supplier to Central Banks in asia, South East Asia, Europe, Eastern Euruope, Africa and South America.

The visit provided a wonderful opportunity to witness behind the scenes functioning of the process of making money, which was hugely appreciated by the members. The members were privileged to witness the seamless operation of manufacturing Circulation Coin Blanks in an integrated facility, which takes care of the process melting and alloy making to making the final products.
