SWAYAM: Ornamental Fish Culture

Ornamental fish culture is a promising source of income generation. One batch of 20 fisherwomen from Kannathur Village Panchayat has been trained to grow ornamental fishes. Techniques of feeding and breeding domestic fishes which are highly sought after for their pleasant colours and lively attitude were taught. There is a demand for these fishes as they are relaxants and stress relievers for certain buyers.
