Re-imagining Education with Dr. Indu Shahani

FLO Jaipur Chapter organized an interactive session between Dr. Indu Shahani(Principal HR college , Ex Sherriff Mumbai) in conversation with the Principals’ from MGD , Neerja Modi & Jayshree Periwal school of Jaipur, Parent & Student.

It was an interactive session where Dr. Shahani laid emphasis on describing ‘Education’…. it should not be about push, it should be about pull. On the lighter note also added that students generally jump out of bed and came to college just for the ‘canteen’. Education is not only just about academics & holistic development, it goes beyond classroom. Students have to be sensitised what real life is & the outside world. The day student walks outside of the college he should feel what the world outside is.

Towards, the CSR Ms. Preeti Saboo also presented first batch women drivers (46 total underprivileged woman) who were trained in association with Maruti, willing to take driving as their career thus empowered by FLO in the CSR of Women Empowerment in Transport.

Members, students & principals went back having an open interaction & free exchange of ideas.

The Major Highlights of the event were:

· Chairperson concluded the talk saying that Youth now not only have pursue their career but also a role to play India’s problems/challenges & find innovative solutions to make better India.
· Member’s kid were invited and they went home motivated & with an idea of innovative thinking & giving back to the society.
· There was an activity by Dr. Indu shahani for all the attendees, to imbibe in them thumb rule of Life that we have to move on under any circumstances.
· Five Certified drivers were presented in the event under the WE in transport initiative & one was immediately then & there employed by a FLO member.
