A MONOLOGUE with Ms. Kalki Koechlin

FICCI LADIES ORGANISATION, (FLO) Jaipur Chapter organised a talk session with Indian Bollywood Actress Kalki Koechlin. She is a renowned theatre artist, recipient national film award this year who is known for her vivacious, straight forward, honest approach.
FLO team 2016-17 was introduced at the start of the event. FLO Chairperson Ms. Preeti Saboo shared the vision for the year.
Celebrating 10th Year of FLO Jaipur Chapter the Past Chairpersons were honoured & they unveiled a Brochure on “Turning Stones to Milestones”
And then Ms Kalki Koeclin presented the monologue “HUMAN FIRST GENDER SECOND”. Ms. Kalki, who appeared in a long gown, began her performance with a rhyme about the man. “Man, man, man. No chance for woman, sidelined from the big bang,” Kalki screamed.
“I am 20, 30, 40 & 50. I am Single, married, divorced & half of the country. I am a mother, daughter, wife & a prostitute. I am a woman in the Indian Society & I am not free” the actor said representing the women all across the country.
“Look at me. It’s another you. We are all human beings. All of us need to grow up to make a better society,” Koechlin , who delivered a master class solo performance .
Further the evening involved a rapid fire round with Kalki & Ms. Preeti Saboo- Chairperson Jaipur Chapter, where instantly evolving thoughts on mind were spoken out. Everyone present thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
