A Trip to the looms of Puttapaka 3rd November 2014

YFLO Hyderabad organised a trip to the Handlooms of Puttapaka Village on the outskirts of Hyderabad. More than 40 members participated enthusiastically. Designer Gaurang Shah escorted us to the village and gave a thorough insight on the realities of the weavers who make the traditional saree which each of us loves to adorn today. It was a truly humbling experience for all those present as we realised how much skill, effort and time goes into making each single piece.
