Venue: Veterinary Science Playground, Khanapara, Guwahati, Intl Agri- Horticultural Show
FLO NE had an unique opportunity to witness the beautiful art of Ikebana, in which ordinary and exotic plants and objects, which Mrs Rekha Reddy found on her arrival in Guwahati were skilfully and artfully transformed into beautiful arrangements.
Ikebana may have originated in Japan, but the arrangements are rooted in the cultural and philosophical context of that particular region where it is practised. So Rekha made an arrangement on Shivaratri and Valentine’s Day, as well as a bridge symbolising friendship between Assam and Andhra, amongst many other arrangements.we were lucky and honoured to have her visit Guwahati.
This event was very special as it was an example of Inter-Chapter Collaboration between Northeast and Hyderabad chapters.
