International Thalassemia day

FLO Ludhiana joined hands with SPS Hospital and Zindagi Live Foundation in the initiative to create awareness and to celebrate 25th International Thalassemia day on Sunday 08th May 2016.

The same had been done by organizing Cyclothon for the very first time and a Blood Donation Camp involving maximum people across city.

Ficci-Flo co-operated with various Cycle Groups like Gstar, Ludhiana Peddlers and Girls Peddlers club to ride bicycles on the popular route, all the riders are given T-Shirts, expressing the message to create awareness about Thalassemia.Prior permissions from the concerned departments were availed and special care was taken as not to inconvenience the common citizen. Ambulance accompanied the riders in case of any eventuality. Ms Savita Aggarwal, The Chairperson FLO Ludhiana, had worked tremendously hard to make this event a success, and motivated all the cycle enthusiasts to take part in this.

The Blood Donation Camp, was also, designed with in the vicinity of Laxmi Ladies Club, with the assistance of SPS Hospital. Doctors and Concerned staff from the hospital were available to collect blood from the donors This Blood bank thus will be Details used by the Hospital for the Thalassemia patients . Ficci-Flo Ludhiana is very proud to be a part of this awareness campaign.
