Legal Awareness on Women’s Safety

FLO Bangalore organised an event held on Legal awareness on Women’s safety on 18th June’2013.

Honourable Justice of Karnataka High Court, Mr Justice K Sreedhar Rao presided over the function and gave some wonderful insights on the legal protection for women in various aspects from property to physical safety.

FLO Governing Body member Ms Priya Hingorani (Supreme Court lawyer and Vice President Bar Council New Delhi) was the Guest of Honour. She spoke passionately about women’s rights and the future of women’s safety in India. She also specifically provided guidance to corporates on how to set up Sexual Harassment committees and the process and procedure for the same.

There was a very active question and answer session and the panel addressed them all. It was a well attended event and appreciated by one and all.
