FICCI FLO, Bombay Chapter, while providing support to women at all levels and enhancing skills in their entreprenuel ventures, also aims to support the cause of educating the girl child, because FLO believes that educating the girl, is educating the Nation.

Various studies undertaken by semi-government bodies, NGOs, educational departments & others, point out that over 31% of the girl students drop out of school in secondary stage of education owing to lack of sanitation facilities in schools. In the interest of promoting education to girls beyond the primary education levels, FICCI FLO Bombay Chapter has launched Sanitation for Girls in School (SGS Abhiyaan) programme for providing clean and Hygienic Sanitation facilities in the school.

Towards this cause and to generate funds, FLO Bombay Chapter had organized Fund Raiser under our flagship theme PHIR WAHI SHAAM through a selection of vintage classics from Bollywood on April 15, 2011 at SRI Shanmukhananda Auditorium, Mumbai. The Program was conceived & presented by one of the premier Vintage Musical troupe Musicolor.

Immense support from all the top corporate was extended towards FLO. Film personalities like Lillete Dubey & Sarah Jane also graced the occasion by their presence and rendered their support for the cause.

Part of the proceeds will go towards building hygienic toilets for girls in the schools identified by FLO in an around Mumbai.
